We went to Washington D.C. for a
meeting April 30 and May 1 of 2001 and did a little
bit of sight seeing while we were there. We got
pictures from the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington
Monument and Reflecting pool, and the Korean War
Memorial Ok, so it was country folks go to the
big city. We even took pictures of the subway.
Lol
It wasn't there this time we
went, but last time we went to the White House,
there was a HUGE pick up truck in the front yard.
Evidence that a man from Texas is there I guess.
On our way back from our meeting
in Washington, we stopped in Darlington South
Carolina at the race track. Gambleris such a NASCAR
nut, he even had a picture of him leaning on the
wall on the apron of the track.
In the track museum, there is
Darrel Waltrip's car from when he flipped at Darlington
several years ago. They even have a 1/24 scale
model collection of every winner of ever of the
Southern 500. It was an interesting stop and definately
a must for any NASCAR fan.
