We headed out for Orlando for one of our weekend road trips on Friday June 8th 2007

I was told that we were going to an Avalanche Owners meeting with a friend, boy was I in for a surprise, this trip was to be part of my birthday present from a friend. I figured since we were going to a chevy event he could come with us. On the way down we passed this wreck.

Friday night when we got to Orlando, my friend took us (wife and I) out to dinner at The Crab Shack. As it was my “birthday” I had a few drinks and a LOT of crab. I ate 21 Alaskan Snow Crabs in just over an hour, as we were leaving the restaurant people were pointing over our shoulders, we turned around and saw the space shuttle lifting off.

We drove onto Disney property to do some boat and monorail joy riding and hit a few of the resort bars. We parked at the Contemporary, rode a small boat to the Wilderness Lodge, had a few drinks, and got back to the larger boat just in time for the parade of lights on the water just in front of the dock. We then road the larger boat back to the Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks, then back to the Contemporary for more drinks. Here are a few pics of Joseph during this part of the adventure.

The next morning when we headed out to go to the Avalanche meeting which was supposed to be on Disney property, to get there we had to pass the Disney Raceway, as we were driving by, my friend looked at me, said "Happy Birthday man" and turned in. When we got in I was directed to the Drivers sign in area. He had supervised me with a Richard Petty Driving Experience, I did eight laps in a real Nascar car on a one mile triangular track. My top speed was 112 MPH.
