Chevy Avalanche Owners Get together

Held in Crystal River Florida

 

In February of 2006, the small town of Homosassa Springs Florida was visited by the combined forces of AVOwners.com and the Chevrolet Avalanche Fan Club of North America (CAFCNA) for a small regional Get-together (GTG) to do everything from meeting new members to showing off their latest mods to just hanging out with friends they haven't seen in a while.
This was my (Chimaera's) first GTG after joining up with both groups, and it was a blast.
The three of us (Gambler, Twister and I) made our way down on Friday and stayed till Sunday. Accommodations while at the GTG were through the Bella Oasis and Spa located right at the entrance of the State Park.
We gathered at the hotel Friday; introduced ourselves; met everyone and ate pizza all night. The next day we caravanned over to Crystal River Chevrolet where we modded for the entire morning and most of the afternoon. After the moding we went to the State Park and wandered around the Zoo taking pictures. Once we got back to our hotel after a very long day we rested for a while and got ready to caravan over to a local sports bar for an evening of beer food and fun. While at the restaurant awards were passed out for things like “Most Mods” Most Outrageous Mod” and so on….. Yours truly received nothing.
The next day we said our goodbyes and headed home with a few more friends than we started out with.
